SKETCH OF DOCTOR CHARLES WORTHINGTON, son of COLONEL NICHOLAS and CATHERINE (nee) GRIFFITH WORTHINGTON, b. 9 October 1759 in Anne Arundel County, Md. He served in the Continental Navy in the Revolutionary War. On 14 February 1788 he married ELIZABETH BOOTH. Their children were: i – NICHOLAS WORTHINGTON:  ii – JOHN GRIFFITH (he went to Ohio): Catherine: iv – ELIZABETH ANNE: v – WILLIAM NICHOLAS. DOCTOR CHARLES WORTHINGTON lived in GEORGETOWN, Maryland. He died 10 September 1836.
