Sharon,

Very kewl.

If you click on the Tag "Second Life" you will see a case study using Inferential Genealogy, and my case study was on a Maryland Howard, from Baltimore. I am also a Howard descendant. My 6th Great Grandmother was Sarah Howard.

I understand the Maryland to Kentucky migration.

Thank you,

Russ

Hi Russ,
Enjoy all your posts and wanted to let you know that my hunch about being descended from the Maryland Howards appears to be correct. I'm in the process of checking with a Howard expert.

I stumbled across a post by a member of the Riddle family who were part of the "1784 Maryland Emigration League" into Kentucky to settle the areas around the new Catholic abbeys. He had scanned a list of names of heads of households who had petitioned Baltimore for a priest for the St. Francis de Sales church in Scott County, Ky., and John B. Howard was on the list.

It will be interesting to see where this leads. Hopefully, I'll be able to tie into some of your research, eventually.

Warm regards,
Sharon

More research to do, right?

Good luck with your research.

Jason,

I used it go get information about my living cousins. It was very helpful.

In this specific case, I was not and don't use WikiTree for my research.

Hope that helps,

Russ

How do you like wikitree? I would like to explore ways to get others involved in my research, but most of the stuff on wiki tree see is just garbage. No sources, just copy and paste from other dubious sources.
