My daughter Ashley Mize and I have worked in Montgomery, Texas on several projects. They were reported in Courier Newspaper (HCN Courier) about Girl Scouts, and a few other things.

I also wrote a few articles for the Montgomery County News about the Texas Flag Controversy (as Montgomery, Texas is said to be "Birthplace of the Texas Flag" but Austin, Texas makes the same claim.) This information was sent to Texas archives, Texas A & M University, and Conroe, Texas library in history archives.

There were a few other articles I wrote including Montgomery High School's oldest living student (with Ashley). Another article I wrote was about the new library opening in Montgomery, Texas, and the Texas history surrounding the area included. I'd have to look up the information. That would take a while. I don't have the info online. I only have hard copies in places cut out of the papers in scrap books around the house.

I am in the process of writing a book about our early pioneer settlers, and what they went through in their hardships. How did they endure? What or how did they pray? How did they stay close to God during their trials? I am including original poems and photos (written & photographed) by me. I have already had 2 poems published by individuals in books. I have been asked by several people to publish a book of poems. That is why I am doing the book. As I love history, and wonder what our early pioneer family went through in their trials. I need to work on my research. Not much was written or known about FAITH of our early settlers. That is the hard part I am working on for the book.
