Sketch of Samuel Worthington b. 31 Dec. 1687 at Marley, Cheshire __land d. 17_9 Orange Co. Va. m. Sarah Simcock D/O Jacob and Alice __aris) Simcock b. 18 Sept. 1696 at Ridley, Cheshire, Eng. after d. 1717. Samuel was the first member of this family to migrate to America. He was married out of his church and they were disowned by the Quakers for marrying out of unity: but they were reinstated. Issue: Robert, Sarah, Alice, m. James Boddingham (2) Henry Walton Samuel, Martha m. _____ Swen.

    I am interesting in researching the Worthington family. We are also researching the family of Michael Swaim, who was married to Martha Worthington, daughter of this Samuel Worthington (1887).
